Hey y'all
My name is Sky, I'm the eye behind the lens and the creativity behind the design. I'm in Calgary, AB, but I was born and raised in Penticton, BC. My passions change with the seasons but there are three that won't be going out of season for me. Photography, Mountains, and designing pieces of art that mesh perfectly with the intended buyer. Whether that be a wood sign for your home, a customized shirt that screams "HEY! Look at me!", decals for your vehicles, or a hand carved cutting board that has a beautiful epoxy addition.
So if you're interested in family pictures, art or if you're just along for the ride, I appreciate you stopping in and taking a look at the things that bring me joy in life!
Who is Sky?
I'm a mom to two boys and an amazing husband. We've been together since 2011, had our first son in 2013 and 10.5 short months later had our second son in 2014. We finally tied the knot in September 2017 and we're still going strong! I moved to Calgary in 2018 with my family for a change. Boy has it ever been a change! I picked up a camera and taught myself how to document our own memories.
Photography to me is something that everyone can relate to. My main focuses for photography are Lifestyle Sessions and Landscape. I do take family pictures outside however I found that in a situation where I have both a beautiful backdrop and beautiful subjects, they fight for the focal point. In my experience as a mom it's nearly impossible to get a child to smile for family pictures. Having them done in the comfort of your own home, baking sessions, reading time, everyday play, it all gives the opportunity to capture the love in that single moment! As for Landscape Photography this is where mountains come into play! There's something about looking at the giant majestic rock formations that make me feel like home. I've always loved the mountains, it's where I spent my spare time growing up. It's also where I spend a lot of spare time with my family. Camping, quading, off-roading, and exploring! Being able to capture the beauty of the outdoors frozen in time is so satisfying to me, pictures come with memories and those are what we all as humans want more of!
